I'm so happy you liked it! The Mirrorlake subplot was meant to be longer, but I remembered I hate it when characters act stupid and stubborn for no reason, so it seemed logical he'd go to Jeff eventually. And exactly! What would be an actual happy ending- learning to love someone, or wrestling independence at any cost? (Also, thank you!)
