The absence of dialogue works perfectly here. For one thing, you inhabit Dean's thoughts so well that it isn't needed. But also, I believe that the boys communicate best when they're not using words -- half of what they say to one another are lies anyway, but when they communicate with gestures and looks, that's when they're being most honest. This is one of my favorite first time fics ever.
