Never Will I Ever meme: Name three fics you think I will never, ever, ever write. In return, I may attempt to write a snippet of one of them.

"Shh," Hilary replied, and picked up a scapel. It hadn't been so very long since she'd touched one, and she'd always been the best in her class - at brains, and everything else she touched.
"Hilary," Julian repeated. "Shouldn't we take her to the hospital?"
Beneath his touch, his daughter pinned to the table, lax and placid under the effects of stolen anaesthetic twitched just a little, her eye bare and exposed to the uncaring world.
Hilary looked at him, just a little impatiently. "Oh do be quiet Julian. I've been trained in this remember?"
She leaned forward, ready to make the first incision. "Besides," she said, "if this goes wrong - we have so many more."

I love how you've turned this into something that you *would* write, after all.

Hm alright, I'm afraid this is the best I could do!
It's not that hard in the end, Dean supposes. He's a guy of simple needs, desires and motivations. A pretty girl here, a bottle of whisky there, a family alive because he's saved them. Small things. And when you give a simple guy a gun and tell him to kill a monster, hell that's what he does. No second guessing involved. And what stands in front of him is a monster, Dean's sure of it. It makes his stomach twist that he wears this monster's jacket, that he loves this thing's music, that he called it dad and smoothed the way for it to do the things it's done - always so eager to obey.
So blowing it away? In the moment, it's the only right thing to do. Later, he'll vomit and cry and almost walk into the path of a truck in some twisted reparation because nothing is ever that easy, that simple, not for a Winchester, not for anyone. But in the moment, he feels nothing but savage satisfaction - and guilt that he's stealing what should be Sammy's kill.
