Wow! I was and wasn't expecting this ending. One one hand, I wanted them to stop, to try to work through everything, even though it would be extremely difficult and expensive. But on the other hand, being realistic, they had to severe their bond. I am glad that they are willing to give them another shot...or, I guess, a first shot since the choice was taken from them the first go-around. In my mind, I'm gonna be hoping for a happily ever after for them :)
