I will do a proper post after author reveals in a week (and also include a little bit of semi meta about working with someone else's fic, if my recipient doesn't mind) but first things first!
I will pay absolutely no money if you successfully guess which fic was written by me. My attempt at a remix was essentially taking the gag off the bit of me that usually has some restraint, and absolutely wallowing in my ownfilth fondness for a particular style of writing. I have no shame.
What was remixed: I got One More Coal (coals of fire remix) by the prolific Anonymous. When I thought about this fic being remixed, the one thing that sprang to mind was the possibility of the story alluded to at the end of the fic being written (past!Dean visited by future!Sam). Proving wishes do sometimes come true, this is exactly what I got! It's hot, painful, and really digs deep at the disturbing undertow of the original fic (One More Coal) and the title exactly fits what the author made of it. Also, amongst all the great little character moments, the intext callbacks etc, did I mention how hot it is?
