I finally got a chance to read through some of Yuletide last night, so here's my first rec batch (I like to try and get done before the anon period finishes). Apparently this is the year of the femslash! Speaking of which, I was lucky enough to get a very sweet Emily of New Moon story with a gentle Ilse/Emily bent to it, which can be found here
In no particular order have recs in the following fandoms: Cruel Intentions (1999), Badass Queens RPF/12th Century CE RPF, Malory Towers - Enid Blyton, Calamity Jane (1953), Once and Future King Series - T. H. White, Animorphs - Katherine A. Applegate, Ballet Shoes - Noel Streatfeild/ Swallows and Amazons - Arthur Ransome, Villette - Charlotte Bronte, Black Mirror, Singing in the Rain
a pressure I can bear - Cruel Intentions (1999) - one of my favourite fics this Yuletide. It sinks little claws in, with a story about redemption that's hard earned when you're having to fight yourself every step of the way. It's about Kathryn, as cruel and internally complex as ever, gradually trying to want to struggle upwards. It is also very, bitterly funny.
Though Years May Go - Malory Towers - Enid Blyton - the sweetest, most sensual Bill/Clarissa fic, which has an amazing warmth and vibrancy to it, combined with great character voices for both the girls.

The Pegger's Tale - Badass Queens RPF/12th Century CE RPF - A wickedly funny fabliau which is at once very clever and well done, and hits character/period tone in an extremely charming way. I can't believe the effort that must have gone into this!

That Lived Within the Heart of Me - Calamity Jane (1953) - the fix it fic that I've always wanted for this film! The relationship between Katie and Calamity is not just sweet, it's played out in character development for them both as well, and the fic is exactly what I wanted to read for this fandom.
Bruised - Once and Future King Series - T. H. White - This is as heartbreaking a take on Lancelot as canon, on how his love for Arthur develops and changes even through all of the complications that surround them. It's about learning to see someone as human and loving them anyway - a lovely canon mirroring of that Lancelot/Guinevere revelation. It also works with the canon tone fantastically.

Bird in a Cage - Animorphs - Katherine A. Applegate - a new take on the piece of canon that deals with Tobias's relationship with his falcon body and comes to some different conclusions which ring really true, and is also a very gentle character piece for both Tobias and Rachel.
Things Which Brought Us Here - Ballet Shoes - Noel Streatfeild/Swallows and Amazons - Arthur Ransome - I really love both of these canons, and squashing them together resulted in this glorious Peggy/Petrova fic, with a great sense of fun, and a real sense of connection between them (perfect jobs as well!)
Unmooring - Villette - Charlotte Bronte. Spot on character voice for Lucy, acid tongued and more vulnerable than she can stand, with a huge soft spot for a very charming and conniving Ginevra. A great little interlude between Timon and her butterfly.
Review - Black Mirror - as creepy and thought provoking as the episode itself, this is a collection of online reviews for the theme park experience which very neatly draws together the complicity of the watchers in the crimes that they observe. Chilling and enjoyable.
Ain't Misbehaving - Singing in the Rain - as charming and madcap as the canon, with some spot on one liners involving gin, Don's driving, Cosmo's dancing, and Kathy's dedication to the arts. Funny and frothy.
