A funny thing happened (on the way back from Aldi)

I've been wretchedly sick for the last few days. Caught a cold and while I was at home I was crawling around moaning for people to kill me, enough that I suspect my family at least, wanted to grant my wish. Anyway, I dragged myself out of what is rapidly becoming less of a room and more of a lair stuffed with tissues and strepsils, and all the way down to Aldi to buy wine. Because even though I loathe St Patrick's Day, I do like wine.

Came back, and I might as well have not gone as there was a  bottle of wine on the doorstep in a bag with my name on it. Puzzling. The paper inside solved the mystery, it was from an acquaintance thanking me for help with a project. All fine and dandy...except how do they know where I live? It's not information I hand out. Did they follow me home one day?

Apart from that, if anyone wants to give me better titles for either of these spn_masquerade fics before I upload to AO3, I will love you forever and give you a glass of wine. Both of them were subject to the 'string any words together quick' style of titling. The worst one off is the femslash Gen/Danneel fic currently called 'Dinner is Served' which the more I think about it, the grosser it becomes. I like a good pun as much as the next girl but that doesn't even work as a joke. girl!Jensen/Jared called 'Stranger in a Crowd' is less viscerally ugh but equally bland. So help a fic writer out before I have to resort to Auden for the 1188567th time.

Nothing wrong with Auden in the least. It's just he somehow became my go-to for titles, the poor man. I'm not 100% certain he'd have enjoyed some of his best lines going to sanctify Sam/Dean porn. Titles are the worst. I don't think I've ever found a good one (unless it's stolen from Auden).

Yes! Now I have two bottles. 100% better than one. I couldn't reply to your entry as regards paddy's day but perhaps LJ will co-operate now. I live in a quiet close and there's still shouting. Plus some attempt to use the central ground for fireworks, foiled by the fact nobody (reasonably enough) wants to be in the cold.

Oh gawd, this is probably even worse but the first thing that came to mind for your Gen/Danneel was - Dining out, Eating In. Or Eating Out, Dining In ...which is probably even worserer! LOL

Titles are very hard - there's a knack to them. Soon I'm going to give up and use Auden for everything. It won't have to be relevant, just Auden.

It's a little disconcerting to have the bottle turn up, but perhaps he/she gave it to a colleague/friend who did know where you lived :) I am feeling the ickies pain, cos this cold is kicking my ample ass!

Aw man, feel better soon. Is it just me or are the early spring colds way worse than the winter ones? Or am I just thinking that because the winter ones are past haha.

Nope, nope, see the Winter ones are expected and even warranted, I mean it's Winter, we're meant to get ill. The spring ones are a complete bitch because we've been LULLED into a false sense of non icky security, lol! I actually had to call in today, the best I'm gonna manage is, computer, loo, computer, kettle, computer, sofa, no necessarily in that order!

Hmm, okay that is quite freaky! Maybe ask where he found the info?
