Dear Writer,

My apologies for taking so long to write this letter! Luckily, I am super simple to write for - write whatever you would like to write. I enjoy seeing the things that people imagine and especially in a ship challenge, what people see that ship as. So feel free to stop reading here, and write what you'd like. For more of an exact guide to the things I like, check below.

Things I enjoy: complicated messy relationships, smut, no smut, plot, character/ship studies. I'm very very fond of friendship and closeness between characters, I'm a big fan of tough people doing hard things, of humour and banter, of mentally strong characters who battle through against all odds, of love that isn't fluffy, of plot, of character pieces, I like brittleness which isn't fragility, love/friendship that is prized above everything else, sacrifices, fighting and ambition.

Daredevil, Anatoly/Vladimir

This was the stand out ship for me when I watched Daredevil. I love the nature of their bond, I love the way they interact - how it's not simple or straightforward, and they share the burden of leading in different ways. The intense loyalty, the burning need to avenge, the backstory, they're all things that attract me to this ship. I'm not so interested in fluff for them, since this isn't a canon that lends itself to it, and I'd prefer that the fact they're fundamentally evil bastards isn't glossed over - it's a deeply unhealthy relationship between deeply unhealthy people, and that's what makes it fun!

I'd love to read anything for them though - so feel free to sell me on curtain fic or fluff if you'd like, on canon fix-it, canon divergence, backstory, slice of life - what do they do at home when they're not trafficking people? Or expansion on that washing scene perhaps - I don't really have squicks bar the ones noted above, so whatever you like is good with me.

Skins, Freddy/Cook

This is my exception for poly - if you'd like to involve Effy (or Katie) in any way, romantic or sexual, in any combination, go for it! Freddy and Cook's relationship was one of my favourite things about that series of Skins. I love their friendship, the tension between them, the way that Cook tries sometimes to mess it up, and Freddy's reluctance to engage with it. I can't stress how much I'd like to see anything for them at all - expansion on that kiss, canon divergence where death is avoided, them coming to terms with the idea that their relationship might be even more complicated than they'd thought originally, anything dealing with that mixture of teenage emotions, where everything is revved up to eleven.

I don't need the fic to be happy or to fix anything (though those things are awesome) just anything that deals with that theme of friendship turning into something more would be very welcome.

Pacific Rim, Raleigh/Yancy

I love the concept of the Drift, and all the different permutations of what it could do to people's relationships and behaviours, how that interacts with previous relationships, distorting and rewriting perceptions. Raleigh and Yancy in that frame particularly interest me - the time they get together in canon is such a great foundation for them both - not just the synchronicity, but the way they bounce off each other and interact with such ease. Anything that plays with their differences would be especially interesting. I'm absolutely open to dubcon, especially surrounding the Drift influence, and all the angst of what they end up doing together (if possible, I'd prefer incest not to be normalised or accepted).

I am intrigued by the possibility of so many things in this canon, in particular pre-canon fic and first times, but also the idea of what a relationship could look like that while being unhealthy from the outside, serves as a point of stability for those within it.

Withnail & I, Marwood/Withnail

This is one of my favourite films - and I adore this ship in all its dysfunctional and messed up glory. What I love about it especially is the way that they're both so messed up - and that it's really only by comparison to Withnail that Marwood is a functioning human being. Their relationship is snappy and edged, a hint of hysteria about it that I love. Anything that works with that canon dynamic would be amazing - pre-canon or post-canon both. Or during the film for that matter - does Monty's pursuit of Marwood, awaken Withnail to wanting something similar? Does Marwood seize the initiative? Or if you'd like to explore the future, there's lots of potential there - not just for happiness, but for a black sucking hole of Withnail tugging Marwood back in. I'm fine with all takes on their relationship - happy, sad, enduring or just a fling.


As above, feel free to ignore nearly everything in this letter. I love all these ships, they're all rare and anything for them would be absolutely amazing.
