Two memes for the price of one.

The fantastic indiachick tagged me in the 7 by 7 meme. Luckily I only have one relevant WIP that's seven pages long at this present moment in time. It may not ever see the light, but it's really fun to write.

"You could leave it," Jared says, but even as he speaks, he can see Jensen retreat. He's broached the impossible, the thing they never speak of, violated the unspoken compact of mutual discretion. Jensen stands then, takes up his book from the table as though he recognises now the futility of any commonplace gesture of friendship.

"Goodbye Jared," he says quietly. "I've asked the bishop to consider reassignation. He's very helpful, I suspect it won't be long." There's no bite to his voice, only a certain inevitability, as though it isn't Jensen speaking, but a thousand years worth of crushed human nature.
